Waiting for Jesus is problematic. I clearly see that the vast majority of Jesus sayings lead to the conclusion that gays be accepted. We must remember the beloved disciple, not named but tradition says it was John. Jesus' own sexuality may not be so straight.

by fulltimestudent injesus had nothing to say - for or against, homosexuality.

Setting aside seats based on race or ethnicity is segregation. I fail to see a difference between KH segregation in Jim Crow South and Indians being assigned special seats. The whole issue of seating brings back many unfair situations and even violent fights. When I was a baby, I was thrown back to the darker regions of Yankee Stadium. My mom said it was so depressing. Besides, what kind of people hate infants. We would commute from so far only to see empty seats a few minutes before the start of proceedings. In school my friends had a picket line. I did not believe it was prudent. Rather than ugly scene when I crossed the line, I was asked to save seats. I stripped so I could claim seats.
I often joke about my permanent record with Jesus or the number of Jesus brownie points I gained by certain actions or inactions. A good test for Jesus to administer would be to focus on seating behavior at assemblies/conventions. It is a place where we can all lose points with Jesus. I felt like tearing sister's hair out at many a gathering. I saw no graciousness towards others.
Of course, you make suggestions for improvements at most religions. May I ask how the white people felt about being ejected from their seats. A rogue usher tried to have me ejected at church Christmas eve. We linked arms and legs to hold our ground. I told him I would move as soon as any priest told me to do so. Mr. Drunken Usher ordered security guards to remove me. They recognized me from volunteering and wished me a Merry Christmas. It takes a lot of money to maintain these massive churches. Wealthy people are selected to donate. One Easter he printed his own Easter admission tickets and charged money which he pocketed. Seating seems problematic everywhere. I did receive an abject apology letter from officials.

King of Kings, Prince of Peace..... Anyone can rule. Reign conveys monarchy, divine right to me. Their Jesus is so dinky maybe he rules. The JW Jesus might only suggest to the GB. The GB rules.

When I read Hirohito's biography, he was surrounded by wars lords with more actual power. The military leaders did not see him as a god. His brother was in touch with the Allied forces and offered to rule Japan if the US executed Hirohito. I read the book long ago so I don't recall the military names. They were not going to surrender. They did not care what Japanese civilians would undergo. I was surprised by how fluid the situation was. It could have ended other ways. The US wanted a figure with legitimacy. Hirohito did very bad things but the US wanted a leader with legitimacy. If I recall correctly, the US insisted on an unconditional surrender.
I believe my views were shaped by the US propaganda taught in schools. We were always taught and viewed films with how wonderful the bombs were. I tended to be more skeptical b/c of my Witness background. I knew not to mention the morality of the bombs to any veteran.

New World Order (Novus Ordo Seclorum)
by Calebs Airplane ingod not only determined and set his mind on that new world order as soon as the need arose, away back at the time of the rebellion in eden, but also set his heart upon it with unbreakable attachment and devotion.

This new world order is utterly ridiculous. Anyone who has actually worked in govt knows how chaotic it is. I prefer corporations. Govt moves so slowly. It is inefficient.

People warned me of how phsically draining the bar exam was. It was so bad. I knew answers but could barely move I was so drained. One hour from the end, I thought of marking all my answers a certain letter so that a few might be correct. I decided to splash cold water. My brain was on strike. When I entered the ladies room about thirty women were congregated inside. One young woman recounted that her father was a lawyer. He told her there was no shame in failing the bar exam. He loved law but maybe she needed something different. If she did not pass, they would discuss alternate careers. What he did insist was that she finish the exam. He said showing up and staying in were important in life. Hearing that story allowed me to return to my seat. I have no clue what questions were asked. He was right about a life lesson.

WHO would Jesus Christ DIS-FELLOWSHIP? A look at the problem of DF-ing
by Terry inloving and forgiving are a huge component of jesus' message to his disciples.. in answer to the question as to how many times forgiveness should be offered to an offender, jesus gave the reply, "seventy (times) seven.
" (variously interpreted as either 77 times or a multiple of 70 times 7).. an example is given of a man who owed a considerable sum of money whose debt was forgiven.
this man failed to forgive a much smaller debt owed to him.

There are several places with excess text. The reader should have a chance to decide how relevant the text is. My translations mention that not all manuscripts contain certain verses and then the dubious verses are quoted.

Between the Witnesses and Newark, my life was so cramped. I knew no middle class people besides my teachers. B/c Viet Nam was happening, teachers could get credit for combat duty if they taught at my school for two or three years. They were sophisticated. It was so strange there was a regular teacher's lounge with cigarette smoke and a short term avoid Viet Nam lounge with marijuana smoke. They hated each other. The avoid Viet Nam teachers sought me out. They told me I could go far and to have some courage. I speak to students now and pass it on. My life has been exciting. Without a leap of faith, it would be so boring. Those teachers were under no obligation to talk to me.

Jesus would not disfellowship anyone. Did you notice that Judas was still around in the gospels? He asked for repentance and a change of heart. Do better in the future. He sought out tax collectors and other pariahs of Jewish society. I never could believe Jesus would pull Armageddon. YHWH certainly would. There was one forbidden act in the Episcopal Diocese. To deny anyone Holy Communion was the biggest sin. One day I found a vodoo candle in the Cathedral. The RCs have a big problem. I wanted some sort of study group. The Dean said to leave it alone b/c God could take it. God can take beer cans in church.

Should some people actually be Witnesses?
by Apognophos init seems to me like certain people actually benefit from joining the religion.
primarily i'm thinking of ones with drug problems who are only able to quit because they are working towards baptism.
another example would be those who are always getting in fights or who have a big ego, and who learn to be pacifistic and humble as a witness.

I've seen drug fiends transformed by the Witnesses. My gf grew up in Poland and Germany. His schooling came to an abrupt end when he kicked a nun. He was illiterate and smoked. When he studied, he learned to read. The tobacco disappeared. My relatives were servile. They were servile as Witnesses but field service gave them some skills. A decent public school education brings many more rewards. White Southerners truly believed that African slaves were better off under slavery. I wish that all humans knew to keep up certain boundaries. As a child, I knew that the creeps at Bethel saying a certain doctrine didn ot mean God set forth that doctrine. It was take my word. No, people took Hitler and Lenin's word.
